Ingredients
- 1/3 c. soft margarine
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1Â 1/2 c. applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c. whole-wheat flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp grnd cloves
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 x egg Toppings:
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Using electric mixer, cream margarine and sugar till smooth; add in applesauce, vanilla and egg; beat well. Add in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking pwdr and soda; mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet coated lightly with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake for 15 to 20 min or possibly till proportionately browned. Combine sugar and cinnamon for topping; sprinkle over warm cookies. Let cold on racks.
