  • Bones from turkey carcass or possibly 2 whole baked turkey legs & 2 baked turkey wings
  • 8 c. water
  • 1 (46 ounce.) can vegetable juice
  • 2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
  • 4 med. potatoes, cubed
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 stalks celery, minced
  • 3 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon green pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon warm sauce

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 2 hrs. Remove turkey; let cold. Bone turkey and chop meat; return to soup. Reheat if necessary.
