Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar well. Blend in molasses. Add in egg, beat well. Blend in sifted dry ingredients. Refrigeratedough overnight. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out with turkey shaped cutter, dipping cutter in flour before cutting each one.
  2. Place turkeys on ungreased cookie sheet and brush with egg white and sprinkle with granulated sugar, bake 8 to 10 min at 400 degrees. Remove from cookie sheet while still hot to prevent sticking. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
  3. For Christmas we make Gingerbread Reindeers using reindeer cookie cutters.
