Strawberry Banana Pineapple Jello Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 x Ripe bananas (up to 4)
  • 2 pkt (10 ounce) frzn strawberries, thawed
  • 1 can (20 ounce) crushed pineapple, liquid removed
  • 1 c. Coarsely minced walnuts
  • 1 c. Lowfat sour cream (up to 1-1/2)
  • 2 pkt (3 ounce) strawberry jello

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, dissolve jello in 1 c boiling water. Mash bananas with a fork till you have a mix of banana mush, with some small chunks left for texture. Add in to jello. Add in strawberries and their juice, along with liquid removed pineapple. Stir in walnuts. Put about half the fruited jello fold in a bowl or possibly mold. Chill till partially set. Spread on lowfat sour cream in a smooth layer. Pour remaining jello on top and refrigeratetill set. Unmold and serve.
  2. Note: I sometimes fold the lowfat sour cream through the entire fruit-jello mix, at the thickened rather than partially set stage, for a different texture change of pace.
