  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. dry chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. dry parsley flakes
  • 3 Tbsp. dry vegetable or possibly sweet pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp dry chopped garlic
  • 1 lb grnd beef
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

Directions

  1. Combine the first eight ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cold dry place up to 1 year.
  2. Yield: 4 batches
  3. (1 c. total). To prepare spaghetti sauce: In a skillet, brown beef; drain.
  4. Stir in 1/4 c. spaghetti sauce mix, water and tomato paste. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 min. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 min.
  5. Yield: about 3 c. sauce per batch.
