Ingredients
- 3 x Cooking apples, large or possibly 6 small peeled, cut into chunks
- 1 c. Maple syrup
- 1 x Egg, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. Melted butter
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 pch -salt
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- Â Â Unsweetened whipped cream (optional)
Directions
- Arrange apples in a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Pour 1/2 c. of the maple syrup over apples, stirring to coat well, and spread in an even layer.
- In a bowl, combine beaten egg, butter and lemon juice with remaining 1/2 c. maple syrup. In another bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the egg mix. Mix in raisins.
- Pour batter proportionately over apple pcs. Bake in preheated 375 deg F oven for 30 to 35 min or possibly till top is lightly browned. Serve hot with unsweetened whipped cream, if you like.
