Directions

  1. Put together water and shortening in saucepan. Bring to boil. Add in flour, cornmeal and onion soup mix all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat till mix leaves sides of the pan. Remove from heat. Add in large eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously after each. Drop by rounded tbsp onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 min till deep golden. Remove from sheet immediately. Cool. Split and fill with chilled chicken salad filling just before serving.
