Ingredients
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 c. raisins
Directions
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; stir well. Add in buttermilk and molasses; beat at low speed of an electric mixer till blended. Stir in raisins.
- Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 1-lb. coffee cans. Bake at 350 for 45 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold in cans 10 min. Remove from cans; cold completely on wire racks.
