Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. Molasses
- 6 Tbsp. Honey
- 4 quart Flour
- 1 x dissolved in:
- 1 c. Butter
- 1 x or possibly:
- 1Â 1/2 quart Lowfat milk
- 2 c. Yeast
- 1/2 c. Water, hot
- 4 x Egg, beaten
Directions
- Scald lowfat milk, cold; when it becomes lukewarm, fold in 2 qts of flour, making a smooth batter; add in yeast & water mix. Beat together well and allow to stand over night. Combine the butter and Large eggs, and cream well. Add in the honey and a little of the flour. Beat well and add in the remaining flour, leaving sufficient to dust bread board. Allow time for full rise and then roll and cut in form of doughnuts. Let rise again and fry in warm veg. oil or possibly fat.
