Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. packaged shredded cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix)
- 1 x 9-1/4-oz can tuna (water pack), liquid removed and broken into chunks
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing
- 2 Tbsp. buttermilk ranch, creamy cucumber, or possibly creamy Parmesan salad dressing
- 2 x hoagie buns, split and toasted
- 2 ounce cheddar cheese or possibly Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
Directions
- 1. In a medium mixing bowl toss together shredded cabbage with carrot and tuna. In a small mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing and ranch, cucumber, or possibly Parmesan salad dressing. Toss salad dressing mix with tuna mix.
- 2. Spread tuna mix proportionately on the four halves of the hoagie buns. Place on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 2 to 3 min or possibly till heated through. Top with cheese. Broil 30 to 60 seconds more or possibly till cheese melts.
- Makes 4 servings.
- This may be a sandwich, but you'll need a knife and fork to eat it. The filling of canned tuna, coleslaw mix, and dressing is easy to stir together.
