Grapefruit Liqueur Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 med or possibly large grapefruit
  • 3 c. 80 proof vodka
  • 1 c. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Whole corriander seed
  • 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 4 c. White sugar

Directions

  1. Cut or possibly scrape off zest, yellow part of rind. Then peel grapefruit and throw away pith or possibly white part. Separate grapefruit sections and cut each section into several pcs. Combine the rest of the ingredients. Cover.
  2. Leave to infuse for several weeks. Strain and let the liqueur clear for a week to 10 days. Carefully pour off the clear liqueur. If you like, a small amount of yellow food dye may be added for a stronger yellow color.
