Ingredients

  • 8 c. Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 c. Green Or possibly chinese cabbage, coarsely minced
  • 3 1/2 c. Bean sprouts
  • 3 c. Cut green beans, may use canned
  • 2 med Potatoes
  • 3 x Large eggs, hard boiled
  • 1/2 x Long English cucumber
  • 1 2/3 c. Peanut sauce *

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil and add in the salt and vegetables, except potatoes.
  2. Boil vegetables for 5 min, then drain. Boil potatoes in separate pot till tender, then peel them. Cut potatoes, Large eggs and cucumber into slices.
  3. Heat peanut sauce on low heat. Arrange the green vegetables on a very large platter. Cover them with the sliced potatoes, Large eggs and cucumbers. Pour the peanut sauce over the entire platter, and serve.
  4. Serving Ideas : Serve with white rice and a meat dish.
  5. NOTES : The peanut sauce may be made by hand or possibly bought. We put the Gado Gado in a large casserole dish. This is a weird but yummy dish.
