  • 1 c. flour, self-raising
  • 1/10 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 150 ml beer
  • 1 x Large eggs

Directions

  1. Sift flour and salt into basin, make well in the center and pour in melted butter or possibly oil and beer and egg yolk.
  2. Stir flour in gradually and beat to a smooth batter. Stand for an hour if possible. Beat egg white stiffly and stir in very lightly just before using.
