Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 med Cinnamon stick
  • 1 x Orange peel strip from samll orange
  • 4 whl cloves
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed lowfat milk - (14 ounce)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Tabasco pepper sauce
  • 2 c. Heavy cream whipped Cinnamon sticks for garnish Orange peel twists for garnish

Directions

  1. In small saucepan over medium heat, heat lowfat milk, cinnamon stick, orange peel and cloves to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 min to blend flavors. Set aside to cold to room temperature. Strain mix.
  2. In large bowl combine lowfat milk mixure, vanilla extract, sweetened condensed lowfat milk and Tabasco pepper sauce. Gently mix in whipped cream. Cover and freeze till hard, stirring once.
  3. To serve, scoop ice cream into glasses or possibly dessert dishes. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and orange peel twists, if you like.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
