Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 T shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. water
- 4 potatoes (mashed)
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 2 T butter
- 1 T chopped parsley
- 2 beaten large eggs
- 1 slice bread, crumbled
- 1/2 c. minced celery
Directions
- Make dough as for pie dough. Roll into 8 inch circles (approximately 6). On 1/2 of circle place cooled filling. Moisten edges with water. Fold over and seal like pies. (Will look like 1/2 moons.) Drop into boiling salted water or possibly beef broth. Boil 30 min, not too fast. Lift from broth and brown lightly in butter.Filling: Mix all ingredients together. Add in potato water if needed to thin potato filling. Let cool before filling noodles.
