Directions

  1. In a covered saucepan cook fresh peas and onions in boiling salted water till tender, about 10 min. (If using frzn peas, add in onions only the last 5 min.) Drain peas and onions well. Meanwhile, heat butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Add in lowfat milk all at once; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Pour over warm vegetables; stir and coat vegetables. Ready to serve.
