Ingredients
- 2 1/3 c. Sifted flour
- 1 pkt (4-ounce) instant chocolate pudding
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1 1/2 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 c. Butter
- 1 c. Buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 pkt (6-ounce) chocolate morsels
- 1/4 c. Minced walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Sift flour with instant pudding, salt and soda. Add in brown sugar, butter and buttermilk. Beat 1-1/2 min with mixer on low speed. Add in Large eggs and vanilla. Beat 1-1/2 min. Turn into three greased and floured 8-inch round pans. Use about 1-1/2 c. batter per pan. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over layers. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min. Cold. Frost and decorate with walnuts.
