Directions

  1. We called them Blonde Brownies and I think there even better than the chocolate ones!
  2. Combine first five ingredients and set aside. Heat butter in saucepan, add in brown sugar, mix well. Cold slightly. Add in beaten egg and vanilla, blend.
  3. Add in flour mix slowly, beating with each addition.
  4. Spread in greased 9x9 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate bits on top. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 min. Don't overcook. Cold in pan. Cut into bars.
