1 pound grnd beef
1/3 c. minced onion
1/4 c. ketchup
3/4 teaspoon salt
10 ounce. pkg. cornbread mix
1/2 c. shredded American cheese
2 tbsp. cool water
2 tbsp. minced green pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

In skillet cook beef, onion, pepper, till browned; drain off fat. Stir in ketchup and salt. In bowl, prepare corn bread mix according to package directions. Spread half of batter in a greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan or possibly skillet. Spoon beef mix over batter in pan; sprinkle with cheese. Spread remaining batter over cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees till corn bread is done, 30-35 min.
