Ingredients
- 6 lb spareribs cut serving size
- 3 quart boiling water
- 2 whl cloves
- 1 med onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry oregano leaves
- 1 tsp drived marojam leaves
- 1 tsp dry rosemary leaves
- 1 tsp dry thyme leaves
- 1 c. dry red wine
- 1/3 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 x garlic clove finely minced
Directions
- In the morning, prepare spareribs. Pour boiling water over them in deep kettle. Insert cloves in onion; add in to spareribs along with salt, oregano, marjoram, rosemary, and thyme.
- Bring mix to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, just till spareribs are tender about 50 min. Drain, arrange spareribs in shallow pan.
- Combine remaining ingredients, pour over spareribs, chill, tightly covered, till ready to grill.
- Adjust grill 4 inches from warm coals. Remove spareribs from sauce, grill, basting with sauce, about 10 min.
- Turn, grill on other side, basting with sauce, 10 min or possibly till well done. Serve with remaining sauce.
