Directions

  1. Hot the oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, add in the onion and celery. Stir and cook till the vegetables are soft, about 7 min.
  2. Add in the ketchup, vinegar, water, sugar, cayenne and salt. Stir well. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover partially and simmer till the sauce has thickened, 15-20 min. Cold and serve.
  3. Yield: 2 1/4 c.
