Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. nuts finely minced
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1 c. ripe mashed bananas
  • 1/4 c. evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. oil or possibly melted shortening
  • 3/4 c. applesauce (optional)
  • Sugar substitute may be used

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients. Mix in nuts. In a separate bowl, put together the remaining ingredients. Add in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into large greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min or possibly till bread shrinks from sides of pan. Let stand for 5 min before removing from pan.
