About me

I was born in South Carolina and have lived in Southern California now for most of my life. While I was growing up my dad lived in Atlanta, so I have spent a good amount of time in the South as well. I’ve logged a pretty good amount of frequent flyer miles and have spent nearly 3 decades eating some pretty delicious dishes.
Aside from my working in a few restaurants here and there I am pretty much self-taught baker and cook living in Culver City, CA. Very much inspired by travels to Tahiti, Paris, London, North-West-East-and-South USA and as many inches of my home state I can cover, I started a recipe blog in June of 2007.
Appetizers, bite-size desserts and anything party-related are my favorite bits, but if we love to eat it, chances are we'll be baking or cooking it soon! I keep all of our culinary adventures logged at www.sweetlifekitchen.com.
