Ingredients
- 1 pound mincemeat (jar or possibly pkg.)
- 1 c. seedless raisins
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites (add in other spices if like)
Directions
- Mix mincemeat, raisins, nuts, sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg yolks; beat thoroughly. Add in sifted dry ingredients. Mix in egg whites. Bake in slow oven 80 min.
