Ingredients
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 7/8 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 stick butter, soft
- 2 Packages yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 6 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. flour for kneading
Directions
- Bring the following to a boil: lowfat milk, 7/8 c. sugar, salt, butter and cold to lukewarm. Mix yeast, 1/2 tsp. sugar, and lukewarm water in a glass. Set aside.
- Mix flour and what germ; make a nest and add in all the liquids and stir. Let sit 20 min. Use an additional c. of flour and knead bread 8-10 min. Let rise till double. Punch down, make into rolls or possibly loaves. Let rise again. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min.
