- Maple Orange Pecan Waffles - Adapted From Family Time
- 1 1/2 cup pecan pieces, divided, lightly toasted
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 fresh orange zest, grated
- 3 large eggs
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 1/4 cups Sprite or 7-Up
- Syrup:
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup orange juice
