  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr and salt. Combine egg yolks, lowfat milk and oil; stir into dry ingredients. Beat egg whites till stiff; fold into batter. Sprinkle warm waffle iron with 2 Tbsp pecans. Pour 1/4 to 1/3 c. of batter over pecans and bake according to manufacturer's directions till golden. Repeat with remaining pecans and batter. Serve with syrup.
  2. YIELD: 8-10 waffles (4-1/2 inches)
