Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 4 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoon ginger
- 3 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream together first five ingredients. Then fold in remaining ingredients. When mixed, let set for several hrs or possibly overnight. Then roll in balls about the size of walnuts; pat down on cookie sheet and bake at 275 degrees till done.
