Ingredients
- 2 quart crushed elderberries
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 6 c. sugar
Directions
- Combine berries, vinegar, and sugar. Bring slowly to boiling, stirring occasionally till sugar dissolves. Cook rapidly till thick. As mix thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Pour boiling warm mix into sterilized jars. Adjust lids. Process in boiling water 5 min. Remove jars; cold and store.
- This recipe yields 6 half-pint jars.
- Yield: 6 half-pints
