  • 1 box Pillsbury pie dough
  • 4 lg. apples, Granny Smith
  • 1/2 stick butter, unsalted
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Set oven at 350 degrees. Peel apples, cut in half, core, and partially slice halves so which slices don't separate. Butter and then flour pie pan. Roll out dough in 1 envelope and line bottom of pan. Dab dough with butter. Put in apples to cover dough. Dot remaining butter over apples. Sprinkle with sugar (except 2 Tbsp.). Roll out second sheet of dough and cover and seal. Poke holes with fork. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 1 hour till golden.
