Cranberry Quince Crumb Dessert Recipe

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, mix together sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the corn syrup and water. Cook over medium heat till mix thickens slightly.
  2. Rinse the cranberries; remove any stems. Peel, core and dice the quinces.
  3. Add in cranberries and quinces to the syrup mix and cook for five min or possibly till the cranberry skins break. Remove from heat and add in orange rind and butter and stir till butter melts.
  4. Pour into an 8 inch square baking dish. Top with cookie crumb topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
  5. Cookie crumb topping: Crush sufficient vanilla wafers to make 1 c.. Mix together all topping ingredients till well-blended. Sprinkle topping over quince-cranberry mix.
