Ingredients
- Rolls:
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Icing:
- 1 cup confectionersâ sugar
- 1 tbsp. butter, melted
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 to 3 tbsp. milk
Directions
- Lightly grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 14-inch square. Spread with the softened butter. Sprinkle with sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon to within ½ inch of the edges. Sprinkle pecans evenly across the sugar mixture.
- Roll up lengthwise (like a jelly-roll), and pinch seams to seal. Cut into 28 slices.
- Place slices cut side down in prepared pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
- Bake at 350° for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let rolls cool in pan.
- While rolls are baking, prepare icing: Combine confectionersâ sugar, butter, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
