Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 6 c. chicken broth preferably reduced-sodium
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp Asian sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 c. packaged fresh or possibly frzn mixed oriental vegetables
- 6 x won ton skins cut into thin strips
- 1 c. thinly-sliced cooked chicken
- 1/2 c. thinly-sliced green onions
Directions
- In a large saucepan, bring broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and oriental vegetables to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, partially covered, till vegetables are just tender, about 5 min.
- Add in won ton skins and chicken. Cook 2 min. Stir in green onions and serve at once.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
- Comments: Instead of filled won tons, the won ton skins and other ingredients are added separately here to make a soup which is really quick and easy. Any brand or possibly combination of frzn oriental vegetables will work nicely.
