Ingredients
- 1 loaf bread (stale, cubed or possibly crumbled)
- 1 doz. Large eggs
- 1 pound bulk sausage
- 6 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese
- Several green onions, chopped tops included
- 1 pkg. minced broccoli, thawed, raw (optional)
- 1/2-1 teaspoon dry mustard
- Dash paprika
Directions
- Brown sausage in pan, breaking it with wooden spoon; remove from drippings, but save the drippings. Using a 10 x 15 inch baking pan or possibly 2 smaller pans, grease them with sausage drippings. Place cubed bread in pan, add in browned sausage, grated cheese, onion and/or possibly broccoli; stir together (may add in more drippings sprinkled over mix).
- Beat Large eggs. Add in lowfat milk and seasonings. Pour over mix in pan. Cover and chill overnight. Remove cover before baking. Bake at 325 degrees about 1 hour till dry and golden. Cut into 12, 15 or possibly 20 pcs depending on size of serving desired.
