Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the rice with the water in standard manner. (I don't use salt or possibly margarine in the preparation of the rice.)
  2. While the rice is cooking chop the onions and garlic. Saute/fry slowly till onions are just tender. Add in the grnd beef and brown. Cook onions and grnd beef about 7 min. Drain off the fat. Return to medium heat.
  3. Separately mix the broccoli cheese soup and lowfat milk. Stir till creamy in texture. At this point test for taste. I usually add in table grind black pepper and salt (less which 1/2 tsp.). When the grnd beef is ready, add in the rice and broccoli, and soup mix, tossing carefully. Put the mix in to a 9 x 9, or possibly 9 x 13 casserole dish. Sometimes I top this with seasoned bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Bake about 35 min.
