Directions

  1. Cut deep, narrow holes in the tomatoes (be careful not to go all the way through). Place the tomatoes in a buttered baking dish.
  2. Combine the tomato sauce, curry pwdr and currant jelly in saucepan.
  3. Heat 5 min, pour over tomatoes (particularly inside the hollows) and bake 15 min.
  4. Remove tomatoes from oven. Then turn on broiler.
  5. Sprinkle bread crumbs over tomatoes and place under broiler to brown.
