  • 2 -3 Granny Smith apples cored and sliced thinly (about 5 slices of fruit)
  • Lemon juice (1-2 tablespoons dribbled over the apples)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 8 1/2 inch buttered pan

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and beaten egg to form crust.
  3. Place the sliced apples in the buttered pan.
  4. Top with the crust
  5. Dot with 6 tablespoons butter
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
  7. Note: You can use other fruit, such as peaches or pitted cherries instead of the apples.
