.%20Two%20tablespoons%20of%20heavy%20cream%20needed%20to%20go%20on%20top%20of%20each%20individual%20gratin,%20and%20then,%20into%20the%20oven%20they%20went.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFifteen%20minutes%20later%20and%20the%20fragrant%20scent%20of%20melting%20cheese%20and%20roasting%20potatoes%20began%20to%20fill%20the%20kitchen.%20Another%20twenty%20minutes%20and%20they%20were%20done%20(photo,%20below).%20We%20let%20them%20cool%20a%20bit%20so%20we%20could%20get%20them%20out%20of%20the%20muffin%20tin,%20and%20voila!%20We%20were%20so%20pleased%20with%20the%20great%20balance%20of%20sweetness%20from%20the%20potato,%20sharp%20tanginess%20from%20the%20gruyere,%20and%20smokiness%20from%20the%20pancetta.%20A%20delicious,%20albeit%20decadent,%20side%20dish!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20400%20degrees.%20Slice%20the%20sweet%20potato%20into%20thin%20rounds.%20Put%20one%20slice%20of%20the%20sweet%20potato%20into%20each%20cup%20of%20a%2012-cup%20muffin%20tin.%20Top%20with%20a%20pinch%20each%20of%20the%20shredded%20gruyere,%20the%20diced%20pancetta,%20salt%20and%20white%20pepper.%20Top%20with%20another%20slice%20of%20sweet%20potato,%20and%20continue%20to%20layer%20as%20described%20above%20until%20the%20muffin%20cups%20are%20close%20to%20filled.%20Pour%20two%20tablespoons%20of%20heavy%20cream%20on%20top%20of%20each%20cup%20and%20cover%20loosely%20with%20aluminum%20foil.%20Bake%20at%20400%20for%2015%20minutes.%20Remove%20the%20foil%20and%20bake,%20uncovered,%20for%20an%20additional%2020%20minutes.%20Allow%20to%20cool%20before%20removing%20from%20muffin%20tin%20and%20serve%20as%20a%20side%20dish%20to%20your%20favorite%20main%20course.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%2012%20individual%20gratins%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
