Ingredients
- 1/3 c. plus 1 T cider vinegar
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- Dash of grnd cloves
- 2 T dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon butter
- 2 c. cooked, sliced beets
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, put together the first 5 ingredients. Cook over a medium heat till the mix thickens. Add in beets, wine, butter and heat thoroughly. Remove from heat and let stand at least 30 min. Reheat just before serving.
