Sweet And Sour Beets In White Wine

Ingredients

1/3 c. plus 1 T cider vinegar
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

Dash of grnd cloves
2 T dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon butter
2 c. cooked, sliced beets

Directions

In a medium saucepan, put together the first 5 ingredients. Cook over a medium heat till the mix thickens. Add in beets, wine, butter and heat thoroughly. Remove from heat and let stand at least 30 min. Reheat just before serving.
