Ingredients
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream shortening with sugar; add in egg and beat. Sift dry ingredients together and to the shortening mix alternately with lowfat milk. Drop by teaspoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10-12 min. Cookies maybe sprinkled with sugar before baking or possibly frosted afterwards.
