Smoky Beef 'N' Beans [Crockpot] Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb grnd beef
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 12 slc bacon cooked, crumbled
  • 2 can pork and beans - (16 ounce ea)
  • 1 can kidney beans - (16 ounce) rinsed, liquid removed
  • 1 can butter beans - (16 ounce) liquid removed
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar - (packed)
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Directions

  1. In a skillet, cook the beef and onion till meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover, and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hrs or possibly till heated through.
  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
  4. Comments: Liquid smoke gives this thick and hearty combination a great taste.
