Directions

  1. Cook sweet potatoes till tender; peel and slice crosswise. Peel, core and slice apples. Beginning with apples put in layers with sweet potatoes. Sprinkle each layer of sweet potatoes with 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. butter. There should be about 3 layers of each. Sprinkle top with 2-3 Tbsp. water.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min or possibly till apples are tender and top is browned. Can take as long as 45 min, depending on the apples. If you double the recipe, add in 1 less apple, but double the amount of sweet potatoes. Bake in 9x13 inch pan.
