Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 Large eggs
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. minced nuts (opt.)

Directions

Heat shortening and chocolate over low heat. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan.
Turn into greased un-waxed 8 X 8" pan.
Bake at 325 Degrees for 25 minutes.
