Ingredients
- 1/2 c. rice
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1/2 pound grnd pork
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 med. head cabbage
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 med. onion
- 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon caraway seed
Directions
- 1. Chop cabbage coarsely and boil in water approximately 10 min; drain.
- 2. Cook rice and cold.
- 3. Mix meat with Large eggs, onion, seasonings and 1/2 can tomato soup; add in rice and mix well.
- 4. Place 1/2 cabbage in lasagne pan. Cover cabbage with meat mix and then cover with remaining cabbage.
- 5. Dilute rest of tomato soup with an equal amount of water. Pour over all. Cover with foil and bake 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hrs in 350 degree oven. (For thicker sauce, use Hunts tomato sauce rather than soup.)
