Ingredients

Directions

  1. Scald lowfat milk then add in shortening and sugar. Let cold.
  2. Dissolve yeast in water and add in to shortening mix. Add in sufficient flour to make a thick batter. Let rise.
  3. Sift together flour, baking pwdr, salt and soda. Add in this to batter along with sufficient flour to make a soft dough.
  4. Place in greased bowl in refrigerator and cover.
  5. Make into rolls 1 1/2 hrs before serving. Let rise and brush with melted butter.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees till lightly brown.
