Ingredients
- 1 quart Buttermilk, warmed
- 1 c. Shortening
- 1 c. Sugar
- 2 pkt Yeast
- 1/2 c. Hot Water Flour
- 1/2 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
Directions
- Dissolve yeast in hot water.
- Mix buttermilk, shortening, sugar and yeast. Add in sufficient flour to make a thick batter.
- Set to rise double in size.
- Mix 1/2 c. flour, baking pwdr, salt & soda. Add in to batter. Add in sufficient flour to make dough handle till not sticky.
