Ingredients
- 2 c. Breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp Garlic pwdr
- 3 x Scallions, chop
- 4 x Egg whites
- 2 lb Cod fillets
- 2 lb Potatoes, peel, sl lg fries
- Â Â Pickled onions
- Â Â Tartar sauce
Directions
- Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer. In a bowl combine crumbs, garlic pwdr and scallion. In another bowl beat egg whites till fluffy. Dip fillets in egg whites and dredge in crumb mix, coating well. Fry in deep fryer till done and drain on paper towels.
- Add in potatoes to deep fryer and fry till done. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Serve fish and chips in a basket lined with English newspaper with onions and tartar sauce on the side.
