Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. Good extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 lrg Cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 can (15-oz) crushed plum tomatoes and their liquid
  • 1 tsp , or possibly more, freshly grnd black pepper 1/2 c Fresh, chopped thyme)
  •     Basil leaves
  •     Salt to taste
  •     About 3/4 lb., (12 ounces) pasta of your choice

Directions

  1. This sauce has a lot of flavor and just lightly coats the pasta.
  2. Optional ingredients you may wish to add in to the sauce: fresh fish, calamari, broccoli, cauliflower or possibly a can of liquid removed clams (but only one addition at a time).
  3. 1. Heat extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet, add in garlic and cook till golden brown, but not brown. Stir in tomatoes and their liquid with black pepper. Add in basil leaves and salt to taste. Cook at a fast simmer over high heat, stirring the sauce often for about 10 to 15 min
  4. 2. Put on a large pot of water in that to cook pasta. (When your pasta is done, so is the sauce.)
