Ingredients

  • 1 lrg cabbage head shredded
  • 1 x onion minced fine
  • 1 lrg green bell pepper minced fine
  • 1 x celery stalk minced fine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 3/4 c. cottonseed oil or possibly vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt

Directions

  1. Combine cabbage, onion, pepper, celery, and sugar. Mix and set aside.
  2. Combine vinegar, oil, and salt in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage mix and stir well. Cover and chill till ready to serve.
  3. This recipe yields 10 to 12 servings.
